When air traffic was still manageable and air freight was still in its infancy, CHS Cargo Handling Service GmbH was founded in 1978, from which today’s CHS Cargo Handling Specialists GmbH emerged in 2019.
As a service provider with decades of experience, we are at your side as a competent partner for all questions relating to air freight. We have to be flexible and creative enough to find quick, viable solutions. It is precisely this flexibility that characterises our actions! We always keep an eye on the quality of our work and ensure that, for example, cold chains are not interrupted and that valuable consignments and hazardous goods are transported safely and reliably. Since then, we have not only acted as an independent service provider, but also enjoy an excellent international reputation.

Where we are
Air freight has various advantages. One particular feature is speed. Our task is to act as an interface between the airlines, the German customs authorities and the freight forwarders.
We do this in the immediate vicinity of the largest steel location in Germany, the largest inland port in Europe and the Ruhr region, the largest conurbation in Germany with a population of around 5.1 million.
